Your privacy is of utmost importance.

THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all personal information and our practices for dealing with any such information that you provide or that we may collect through your use of this website and any means in which you use to contact us are set out in this document.

By visiting this website, sending an enquiry through our website, or making an enquiry or request using any means, you give explicit permission for THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy to use the information provided by you in any manner we choose that is consistent with this policy. There may be times when that information is used, for example, to compile a plan, or if a report for another practitioner is required, e.g. ‘the client attended x sessions, or the client was booked in by x person, or x person was the contact'.’

Your personal or contact information will not be disclosed to any third parties without your written consent.

THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives will not ‘sell’, distribute or share email addresses or mailing lists.

Privacy Policy

Information entrusted to THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, by clients is private and confidential. Any personal information collected is treated as confidential, and as an allied health service that holds personal and health information, we are bound by the Privacy Act 1998 and guided by Australian Privacy Principles.

Personal information may include:

  • An individual’s name, signature, address, email address and phone number, as well as their emergency contact’s name and phone number

  • Sensitive information such as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin and background, religious or philosophical views, sexual orientation and/or practices, criminal or police record, family and social history, and health and genetic information

  • Health information including information about serious illnesses, brain injuries or disability, symptoms or medical diagnoses, health service providers and prescribed medicines, and

  • Other information such as transaction details associated with service provision, as well as a client’s social media account handles or private messaging account name if private messaging is utilised during the conduct of services.

Personal information may be collected in a number of ways, including when we see you in person, via video link, telephone calls, and in writing. ‘In writing’ can include, but not be limited to, forms you complete or via emails, or other messages. We may use the same method as you have to answer your question, or deliver information or services to you, as requested by you. At times, we may also use this information to communicate other services, information, or offerings that we believe you may be interested in. If you wish this to stop at any time, please contact us in writing at info@thinkcoaching.online. If you or a third person contacts us and provides your name and other identifiable information, we may keep this information.

Personal information may also be received via third parties where it is reasonably expected the client would have consented to the personal information being shared, including but not limited to:

  • From a client’s nominated emergency contact

  • In the case of a client under the age of 18 years, from that client’s parent or legal guardian, and

  • From a client’s medical team referral.

At the time personal information is collected, individuals will be made aware of the purpose for which the information is collected.

Purpose of collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal information

THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, collects, stores, uses and discloses a client’s personal information only for the purposes consistent with the reasons it was collected, including:

  • Assessing a potential client’s suitability for services

  • Managing the ongoing relationship with clients, including service planning and monitoring client progress, providing coaching and support, and providing information about coaching and support, if required with consent

  • Responding to enquiries potential clients and clients have in relation to the services provided

  • Providing feedback on progress to a client’s medical team, if required with consent, and

  • Gathering feedback for the review and improvement of service delivery.

THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, may also collect, store, use and disclose personal information to:

  • Resolve any legal and/or commercial complaints or issues

  • Meet any legislative requirements as they apply to us as allied health professionals, and

  • Perform functions or activities relating to business, including meeting internal administrative requirements, in the process of managing accounts and payments, the communication of important information and/or marketing.

THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, will not use or disclose a client’s personal information for any other research than that outlined above, unless an exception applies, including:

  • Where the client has consented to the use or disclosure of personal information for a purpose or where it would be reasonable to consider that a client would have expected their personal information to be used for such a purpose, and

  • A purpose that is required or authorised under Australian law, or court or tribunal order.

When we receive sensitive information from a third party

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we may receive from or about you from other third-party sources, including websites that link to or from www.thinkcoaching.online. THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives cannot take responsibility for that information and potential disclosure(s) that may have occurred before we received it.

This website may use a cookie, which is a tiny text file on your computer that captures no personally identifiable information, but enables us to log which pages you visit on the website or to provide certain features during your visit. You can set your internet browser to refuse to accept cookies, but if that occurs, you may encounter errors or website functionality issues. All the information collected this way is for general purposes of insight into how many people visit our website, what information is viewed, and what information is downloaded, such as free resource material. None of the information collected in this manner is traceable unless there is a court order allowing us to do so. Your name and email address are not collected when you are viewing our website. We may collect and store the name of the IP address of the computer used to access our website, the date and time at which you accessed the information on our website, and how you came to our website (such as through a link from another website). If you came to us from a link, we may record the details of the other website that linked you to us. By collecting this information, it allows us to identify website use information to you, ways in which we can improve, and identify unauthorised access or unusual activity. We will never sell this information to third-party companies. We may disclose the information about our website (visitors to our page, what pages are viewed, time spent, and resources downloaded) to third parties, such as IT providers, consultants and other service providers, so that they can perform support services to THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy.

Storage of personal information

THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, may store personal information in both hard and electronic copies.

All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that personal information is securely stored and to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, interference or disclosure; however, THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives, including our coaches, cannot guarantee that unauthorised access to personal information will not occur.

Written notes and personal information are stored securely in a locked cabinet. Written and hard copy copies are destroyed by document shredding

Whilst THINK Coaching & Hypnotherapy and its representatives utilise a number of measures to ensure client information is kept confidential and secure, any transmission of information via the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely confidential and secure. Despite our best efforts to maintain a high level of security and privacy, we cannot guarantee it.
